2024 - 2025 Season
The Momentum Continues!
This season is a busy one with SIX different orchestra works by Linda Robbins Coleman
performed by various orchestras throughout North America.
And that is just between September and December 2024!
In Good King Charles’s Golden Days, Elegy for the Greatest Generation,

September - December 2024 Performances
For a Beautiful Land, a symphonic poem for orchestra –
performed by the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra (Louisiana),
under the direction of Adam Johnson, Music Director and Conductor, on September 19, 2024.
This concert featured Olga Kern performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto #3, and Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite.
Suite for Strings, for string orchestra – Pennsylvania Premiere!
performed by the Veritas Youth Orchestra Festival under the direction of
Brian Norcross, Guest Conductor on October 4, 2024, in Hinkletown, PA.
In Good King Charles’s Golden Days, a symphonic overture,
performed by the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra,
under the direction of Robert McConnell, Artistic Director and Conductor
in a three concert set in Burlington, Ottumwa, and Mount Pleasant, Iowa, on October 12 & 13.
The concerts included Claude Debussy’s La Mer and Afternoon of a Faun, and Beethoven’s Symphony #5.
Coleman participated in pre-concert talks and post-concert receptions.
On October 13, 2024, Linda Robbins Coleman was inducted into the Midwest All-Music Association Hall of Fame in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Coleman is only the third “classical” musician to be included in the MAMA Hall of Fame. The first two, inducted in 2015, were opera star Simon Estes, and Des Moines Symphony Orchestra Artistic Director and Conductor, Joseph Giunta.
Prairie Portraits – a concertino for fiddle and orchestra - Pennsylvania Premiere!
featuring the artistry of Jennifer Sacher-Wiley was performed by the Allegretto Orchestra
under the direction of Zachary Levi, Conductor, on October 27 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Elegy for the Greatest Generation, for symphony orchestra –
will be performed by University of Nebraska Omaha Youth Symphony Orchestra
under the direction of Matthew Brooks, Music Director and Conductor
on November 10, 2024.
For a Beautiful Land, a symphonic poem for orchestra –
will be performed by the Lebanon Valley College Orchestra
under the direction of Dr. Johannes Dietrich, Music Director and Conductor
on November 17, 2024 in Annville, PA.
The Celebration! A Symphonic Jubilee, a suite for symphony orchestra
will be performed on a concert titled Parker Plays Gershwin, by the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra
under the direction of Maestro Joseph Giunta, Music Director and Conductor
on November 23 & 24, 2024.
This concert features Jon Kimura Parker performing the Gershwin Piano Concerto and Beethoven’s Symphony #5.
Coleman will also participate in outreach activities, pre-concert talks, and a “Talk-Back” discussion with Maestro Giunta.
Suite for Strings, for string orchestra – Pacific Northwest Premiere!
performed by the Spokane biennial Festival of Music under the direction of
Bruce Walker, Jr., Guest Conductor on November 26, 2024, in Spokane, WA.
This concert will feature string players from five high schools in the greater Spokane district.

Diversions, and Suite for Strings
NEW!
The Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra in Brisbane, AUSTRALIA,
and the OSN - National Symphony Orchestra of Paraguay, SOUTH AMERICA
will each perform her symphonic poem, For a Beautiful Land, and
Diversions will be performed at the 39th International Festival of Flutists in Lima, Peru.
With these performances, her music will have been performed on
FOUR CONTINENTS (North and South America, Europe, and Australia).
But wait! There’s more!
Boyhood’s End, a new non-fiction book by
William S.E.Coleman and Linda Robbins Coleman was released in September 2023.
February 2024, was the world premiere of a new string orchestra piece, Suite for Strings,
and in July 2024, THREE works will be performed on a concert titled Linda and Ludwig!

The Celebration! A Symphonic Jubilee, a suite for symphony orchestra
will be performed on a concert titled Linda and Ludwig, by the Allegro Orchestra Lancaster (PA),
under the direction of Brian Norcross on July 13, 2024.
Diversions – a concerto for One soloist/Three flutes and Orchestra
featuring the artistry of Rose Bishop will be performed at the 39th International Festival of Flutists
in Lima, Peru, on May 24, 2024.
For a Beautiful Land, a symphonic poem for orchestra –
performed by the OSN, the National Symphony Orchestra of Paraguay, South America,
under the direction of Alejandra Velázquez, on May 8, 2024.
For a Beautiful Land, a symphonic poem for orchestra –
performed by the Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra of Brisbane, Australia,
under the direction of David Law, on May 4, 2024.
Suite Antique, for string orchestra –
performed by the Central College Community Orchestra (IA)
under the direction of Philip Peters on April 30, 2024.

performed by the Susquehanna University Orchestra (PA),
